01 / How it works
BELOTERO Volume uses crosslinked sodium hyaluronate of non-animal origin. Cross-linking with agents like BDDE helps the HA gel resist rapid breakdown and maintain its physical effect for a period of time. Merz Aesthetics describes Cohesive Polydensified Matrix (CPM) as a manufacturing process that creates zones of different HA density within the gel, designed to adapt within surrounding tissue. However, CPM does not guarantee a perfectly smooth, invisible, or complication-free result.
When injected into deeper tissue, the gel occupies space and binds water, providing temporary structural support which may soften the appearance of selected midface volume deficits and contour deficiencies. It is important to know that BELOTERO Volume is a specific, volumising dermal filler, not just a generic skin booster for widespread hydration. Our doctor carefully plans treatments for patients from Taman Pelangi, Mount Austin, and across Singapore, ensuring the correct product is matched to the correct tissue depth rather than applying one filler to every facial concern.

Who may benefit
Not every volume or contour concern is treated the same way. This is why a doctor’s assessment is mandatory.
Exact Treatment Goal: Our doctor examines your face to differentiate between true soft-tissue volume loss, skin laxity, and natural skeletal shape. BELOTERO Volume is designed for selected deeper facial-volume concerns and midface contour deficiencies. Under-eye, nose, or superficial fine-line treatment should never be automatically assumed. We will also verify the exact product, confirming if the box is BELOTERO Volume or BELOTERO Volume Lidocaine, and check its current Malaysian registration.

Results Timeline: Early fullness may partly reflect the injected gel and temporary swelling. The final settled result should be assessed only after temporary reactions improve. BELOTERO Volume may help restore selected midface volume, but it cannot reliably tighten all loose skin, recreate lost facial bone, or stop natural ageing. The treatment is temporary; a specific clinical study in severe nasolabial folds reported effects lasting through 18 months for some participants, but individual duration and the degree of remaining correction vary greatly by treatment area and patient. Patients from Tebrau, Permas Jaya, and Singapore appreciate that we set realistic timelines rather than promising permanent volume.
BELOTERO Volume is a medical device, and minimal downtime does not mean zero downtime. Patients commonly experience temporary redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness, tingling, or small bumps at the injection sites. Cheek swelling may temporarily alter facial balance. Delayed inflammatory reactions, migration, overcorrection, or non-inflammatory lumps are uncommon but possible.
Important Medical Risks: Any facial filler carries a rare risk of accidental vascular compromise. Accidental entry into or pressure on a blood vessel may reduce blood flow, which can cause tissue necrosis, visual impairment, or stroke-related symptoms. Visual changes, severe unusual pain, or signs of reduced skin blood flow (unusual whitening, blistering, or grey skin) require immediate medical assessment. While hyaluronidase can break down hyaluronic acid in selected cases, it is not an instant “undo button” and cannot reverse established tissue injury. We provide detailed aftercare instructions and ensure follow-up is available for all local and Singapore patients.

Current verified documentation describes a non-animal-origin crosslinked sodium-hyaluronate gel. The lidocaine formulation contains approximately 26 mg/ml HA and 3 mg/ml lidocaine, subject to exact local-product verification.
BELOTERO Volume Lidocaine contains 0.3% lidocaine hydrochloride. The clinic should check the exact box because not every version should automatically be assumed to contain lidocaine.
It is mainly positioned for selected facial-volume loss and contour deficiency. The precise areas available in Malaysia must follow the current MDA registration and product instructions.
