01 / How it works
CELLBOOSTER HAIR is formulated with 6 mg/mL of noncrosslinked HA, functioning as a temporary extracellular environment for its added ingredients. The 3 mL single-use sterile vial contains a proprietary blend of arginine, cysteine, glutamine, glycine, and lysine, combined with vitamins including niacin, B5, B6, biotin, B12, and rutin, plus copper and zinc. These components are combined using Suisselle’s patented CHAC Technology a process involving simultaneous pressure and shear deformation intended to mechanically stabilise the complex without using conventional crosslinking chemicals.
While the registered intended purpose includes supporting scalp microcirculation and structure, it is crucial to understand that local injections do not permanently alter your DNA, cure systemic nutritional deficiencies, or block the hormonal pathways of androgenetic alopecia. The formulation does not contain lidocaine, minoxidil, or stem cells. For our patients travelling from Taman Pelangi, Mount Austin, and Singapore, we plan treatments conservatively. We explain that while the amino-acid mixture supports the scalp environment, individual clinical response varies, and results are never guaranteed.

Who may benefit
Hair loss is a symptom with many possible causes, making a comprehensive doctor’s assessment mandatory.
Diagnosis First: We evaluate your scalp to distinguish between androgenetic alopecia (pattern thinning), telogen effluvium (stress or illness-related shedding), breakage, and inflammatory conditions like alopecia areata. If you exhibit red flags for scarring alopecia such as pain, scaling, or loss of follicular openings injections are inappropriate and early specialist referral is required. Active psoriasis, severe seborrhoeic dermatitis, or fungal infections also require medical control before any scalp procedure.

A 2024 product-specific study evaluated CELLBOOSTER HAIR in 26 adults with early or moderate androgenetic alopecia. After an intensive course of six sessions spaced approximately two weeks apart, the study reported improvements in selected clinical hair-density and quality scores, alongside positive participant satisfaction. However, as an education-focused clinic, we transparently explain the limitations: the study was manufacturer-funded, small, lacked a placebo or control group, had a short follow-up period, and one objective instrument-based thickness measure did not reach statistical significance.
Therefore, we do not promise permanent regrowth or superiority over established treatments like minoxidil, finasteride, or PRP. Hair growth is slow, and visible changes may take several weeks or months to develop. Immediate scalp swelling should never be mistaken for new hair. For our patients commuting from Tebrau, Permas Jaya, and Singapore, we emphasize that maintenance sessions may be needed, and a fixed package should never replace an ongoing, accurate diagnosis of your underlying scalp condition.
Safe scalp injections involve multiple small administration points, which can lead to temporary side effects. Common reactions include stinging, redness, mild inflammation, localized swelling, small bumps, bruising, minor bleeding, and tenderness. While the manufacturer notes that common local reactions may resolve within 24 to 48 hours, recovery times vary. Because CELLBOOSTER HAIR does not contain lidocaine, complete painlessness cannot be guaranteed, and comfort measures may be considered.
It is critical to monitor for less common but serious complications. Symptoms like severe or rapidly increasing pain, spreading redness, pus, fever, or persistent hard nodules require prompt medical assessment not waiting for a routine review. We provide strict aftercare instructions, advising patients to keep the scalp clean, avoid scratching the injection points, and delay strenuous exercise, saunas, and harsh chemical hair treatments as directed. By focusing on safety and clear communication, we support your overall treatment journey.
