01 / How it works
Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a water-binding substance naturally present in human tissues and also used in manufactured medical devices. However, HA filler is not entirely natural, nor is it risk-free just because HA exists in the body. RESTYLANE contains manufactured and stabilised non-animal HA with product-specific properties designed for different anatomical goals.
Galderma currently describes several RESTYLANE technologies. NASHA (Non-Animal Stabilized Hyaluronic Acid) creates selected firmer HA-gel characteristics, while NASHA HD is a newer technology term associated with selected structural products in certain markets. OBT (Optimal Balance Technology), sometimes known as XpresHAn Technology in the United States, is designed with different gel flexibility for areas involving facial movement. Finally, SB-NASHA is associated with selected RESTYLANE Skinboosters technology for skin hydration. The exact technology depends on the exact product. We do not state that one technology guarantees zero swelling, prevents migration entirely, or is universally superior for every facial area.

Who may benefit
Different RESTYLANE products are intended for different goals. This is why a thorough clinical assessment is mandatory. The current international portfolio may include RESTYLANE LYFT, DEFYNE, REFYNE, VOLYME, KYSSE, and EYELIGHT. However, United States FDA or European CE approval does not automatically establish Malaysian registration or availability.
Anatomical Assessment: We assess your bone structure, fat compartments, skin laxity, muscle activity, and previous filler history. Small facial asymmetries are normal, and filler cannot perfectly correct them or replace surgery when surgery is appropriate. If you have under-eye concerns, we must distinguish true tear-trough hollowing from eye bags, festoons, or pigmentation, as filler does not remove eye bags.

A responsible RESTYLANE consultation involves distinguishing between dermal fillers (for volume, contour, and folds) and Skinboosters (for hydration, structure, and elasticity). Our doctor will review your medical history, allergy history (including severe allergies, lidocaine, or previous HA reactions), and any previous filler or thread treatments.
Product Authenticity: Before any administration by our appropriately qualified medical practitioner, we verify the exact product name, MDA registration, Galderma Malaysia authorised-supplier details, and intact sealed boxes with traceability. We strongly advise against online filler sellers, needle-free hyaluron pens, or unlabelled syringes.
Results are not permanent. RESTYLANE results are temporary, and duration differs by product, treatment area, anatomy, and the individual patient. Whether you visit us locally from Tebrau or travel from Singapore, our goal is to provide a comprehensive, transparent medical assessment without guaranteeing a one-syringe transformation.
While non-surgical, HA dermal-filler treatments are medical procedures with temporary downtime and potential risks. Common temporary reactions may include redness, swelling, pain, tenderness, firmness, lumps, bruising, and mild bleeding at the injection site. We do not guarantee a “no downtime” experience.
Serious Complications: Unintended entry into or compression of a blood vessel (vascular occlusion) is uncommon but potentially severe and permanent. This may cause ischaemia, tissue necrosis, scarring, visual impairment, blindness, or stroke. We educate all patients on urgent warning signs requiring immediate emergency assessment, such as severe or unusual pain, pale or mottled skin, sudden blurred vision, facial weakness, or difficulty speaking.
04 / Practical expectations
Your experience will reflect the selected treatment, treatment area and individual response. These are the useful details to explore during your visit.
05 / Compare your options
Compare the treatment approach, the area it is designed for, the experience and the way results may develop—not only the name or price.

Filler provides selected physical volume or contour support using HA, while botulinum toxin temporarily reduces selected muscle activity. They are entirely different treatments with different medical applications.

Reversibility: While hyaluronidase may break down HA, complete or immediate removal cannot be guaranteed, and dissolving carries its own risks. For aftercare, patients are advised to follow written clinic instructions, avoid unapproved facial devices, and delay aggressive skincare until advised.

Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a water-binding substance naturally present in human tissues and also used in manufactured medical devices. RESTYLANE contains manufactured and stabilised non-animal HA with product-specific properties designed for different anatomical goals.
While hyaluronidase may be used to break down HA filler, complete or immediate reversal cannot be guaranteed. Dissolving involves its own risks and does not reverse permanent non-HA fillers.
Selected products, such as RESTYLANE EYELIGHT in some markets, may address hollowing. However, under-eye anatomy and exact Malaysian registration require careful review. HA filler cannot remove eye bags or festoons.
Filler provides selected physical volume or contour support using HA, while botulinum toxin temporarily reduces selected muscle activity. They are entirely different treatments with different medical applications.
Filler may provide selected contour support, but it cannot permanently reposition tissues, remove major jowls, or reproduce the results of a surgical facelift when surgery is appropriate.
Results are not permanent. Duration depends heavily on the exact product used, the treatment area, natural anatomy, amount injected, facial movement, and individual metabolism.
