01 / How it works
High-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) concentrates acoustic energy at selected focal zones beneath the skin. This creates focal thermal coagulation, controlled protein denaturation, and wound-healing signalling, intended to stimulate gradual neocollagenesis (collagen remodelling). ULTRAcel Q+ may be used with two different energy-delivery concepts: Dot-focused HIFU and LinearFirm linear HIFU. Dot cartridges create separated focal thermal zones and may be considered for collagen-remodelling support, mild skin tightening, selected eyebrow support, or mild jawline firmness. Nominal focal depths (e.g., 1.5 mm, 2.0 mm, 3.0 mm, 4.5 mm) guide treatment planning, but actual anatomy varies. A 4.5 mm cartridge does not guarantee contact with one identical SMAS layer throughout the face.
LinearFirm is a cartridge system compatible with ULTRAcel Q+ that creates a more continuous linear thermal zone rather than separated individual points. Possible goals may include broader tissue heating, selected facial contouring, or selected superficial submental fullness. However, LinearFirm is not a separate machine, nor does it guarantee permanent fat-cell destruction. Treatment should preserve useful facial volume unless a clearly identified superficial contour concern is being addressed. Over-treating already hollow areas may create an unwanted gaunt appearance. The doctor must determine whether volume reduction is desirable for your specific facial structure.

Who may benefit
Medical Red Flags: A new, persistent, enlarging, firm, or unexplained neck lump must be medically evaluated before elective treatment. HIFU does not treat thyroid nodules or shrink lymph nodes. If your main concern involves substantial skin excess, severe jowls, or deep structural sagging, we will recommend a surgical assessment rather than promising a non-surgical miracle.

03 / Your treatment journey
A calm, well-explained experience at every stage.
Talk through the concern, your previous experiences and the result you would like to explore.
Review the treatment area, suitable options, expected experience and practical timing.
Arrive prepared and receive clear guidance throughout the treatment visit.
Leave with simple aftercare, helpful contact details and a plan for review.
Your journey starts with verifying the exact ULTRAcel Q+ machine, ensuring accurate cartridges and current Malaysian MDA registration are in place. After a detailed anatomical assessment and baseline photography, ultrasound coupling medium is applied. The doctor administers the focused-ultrasound treatment while continuously monitoring your safety and comfort. We do not enforce compulsory fixed session packages; further treatment should only follow adequate reassessment.
Evidence & Efficacy: Independent peer-reviewed evidence specifically evaluating the complete ULTRAcel Q+ system is limited, and published HIFU research supports possible modest improvement in mild to moderate skin laxity. A completed registered study evaluated temporary eyebrow lifting with LinearFirm, but publicly posted outcome results were not identified. Outcomes vary, and evidence from one HIFU system cannot automatically validate another device.
While ULTRAcel Q+ is a non-surgical procedure, it is not risk-free. Common temporary reactions include redness, swelling, tenderness, tingling, tight sensations, mild bruising, or temporary numbness. Pain varies according to anatomical area, tissue thickness, and individual sensitivity; patients may feel warmth, prickling, or deep aching. Sharp, electrical, radiating, or unusually severe pain should be reported to the doctor immediately.
Important Nerve & Fat Risks: Facial and sensory nerves vary in depth and course. Less common but important risks include nerve irritation, temporary muscle weakness (such as smile asymmetry or eyelid drooping), persistent numbness, burns, blistering, skin necrosis, scarring, and unwanted fat loss resulting in subcutaneous atrophy or hollowing.
Your aftercare habits are crucial. Cleanse gently, avoid aggressive massage or strong pressure over tender areas, and temporarily avoid saunas and strenuous exercise. Use broad-spectrum sun protection, as Asian skin (Fitzpatrick III-V) has a higher risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation following any thermal injury. Contact the clinic promptly if you experience severe or worsening pain, rapidly increasing swelling, blistering, or new facial weakness.

Dot cartridges create separated focal thermal zones for selected tightening goals. LinearFirm creates a more continuous linear thermal zone and may be considered for broader heating or selected superficial contour concerns.

No. ULTRAcel [Zi:] and LinearZ represent a newer Jeisys generation. ULTRACEL Q+ remains a separate earlier platform with its own compatible cartridges.

It may improve selected superficial submental fullness and skin laxity. Deep fat, weak chin projection, prominent glands or significant skin excess may require another treatment.
