Identify the concern before choosing treatment
Not every dark or raised spot is a simple mole. Seborrhoeic keratosis, skin tags, pigmentation, cysts and other lesions can look similar. Any changing, bleeding, painful, irregular or unusual lesion needs medical evaluation rather than immediate cosmetic treatment.
A doctor-led consultation reviews the appearance, history, previous treatment, skin type and relevant medical factors. The purpose is to select a suitable mechanism, not to force every concern into the same device or injectable.

Safety, limitations and realistic expectations
Removal may cause bleeding, infection, pigment change, scarring, recurrence or an incomplete result. Suspicious lesions should not be treated cosmetically without proper evaluation. The safest option may be referral for further examination.
Results vary. No treatment is also a valid option. The doctor may recommend observation, staged treatment, a test area or referral when that is safer.

Can a mole be removed with laser?
Some appropriately assessed benign lesions may be considered for laser or another method, but the diagnosis must come first.
What warning signs need medical review?
Recent change in size, shape or colour, irregular borders, bleeding, pain, itching or a lesion that looks unlike your other moles should be assessed.
Will mole removal leave a scar?
Any removal method can leave a mark or scar. Risk depends on lesion type, depth, location, skin response and aftercare.
Do you remove every mole during the first visit?
No. The doctor may recommend observation, referral or another evaluation before any cosmetic procedure.
Start with a doctor-led assessment
Tell the clinic which concern you want assessed, which location you prefer and whether you are travelling from Singapore. Bring details of previous procedures, products, medicines and relevant medical history.
