Identify the concern before choosing treatment
Professional tattoos, cosmetic eyebrow or eyeliner pigment, traumatic pigment and previously treated tattoos can respond differently. Dark ink may behave differently from red, green, blue, white or skin-coloured pigment, and some cosmetic pigments may darken after laser exposure.
A doctor-led consultation reviews the appearance, history, previous treatment, skin type and relevant medical factors. The purpose is to select a suitable mechanism, not to force every concern into the same device or injectable.

Safety, limitations and realistic expectations
Possible effects include redness, swelling, blistering, crusting, temporary colour change, incomplete clearance, texture change and scarring. Cosmetic tattoo pigments require particular caution. Treatment should not proceed until the mark and pigment history have been assessed.
Results vary. No treatment is also a valid option. The doctor may recommend observation, staged treatment, a test area or referral when that is safer.

Can every tattoo be completely removed?
No. Response varies with pigment, depth, colour, tattoo age, skin type and previous treatment. Complete clearance cannot be guaranteed.
How many sessions are needed?
The number and spacing of sessions vary. The doctor must assess the tattoo and skin response before estimating a plan.
Can eyebrow or eyeliner tattoos be treated?
They require separate assessment because cosmetic pigments may contain compounds that behave unpredictably or darken after laser exposure.
Can Singapore patients return home after consultation?
Many consultations and selected treatments may be planned as day visits, but border travel and aftercare should be considered before treatment.
